General conditions of sale for stays in guest rooms at Maison Garesché
Article 1 – Duration of stay
The client signing this contract concluded for a fixed period may not under any circumstances claim any right to remain on the premises.
Article 2 – Reservation formalities
After receiving your reservation request, we will send you written confirmation by email – or, if you do not have an email address, by post. We invite you to respond affirmatively to the contract by email or post as soon as possible and to pay a deposit within a maximum of three days after your reservation request (unless your reservation is planned for a rental the day before for the following day - we ask you to book at least 48 hours before your arrival at "Maison Garesché"). The amount of this reservation corresponds to 100% of the total amount of the price of the stay with a minimum of one night per room reserved and must be paid either by credit card (our preference) or by bank transfer. Upon receipt of the total amount of the reservation, it becomes firm. This payment will be cashed upon receipt. The total payment of your reservation confirms your full agreement with these general conditions. Payment for on-site expenses (meals, activities, bicycle rental, dinner cruise, etc.) must be paid on site at "Maison Garesché" either by credit card (our preference) or in cash. Important: Failure to pay within the specified timeframe upon reservation will result in the reservation not being confirmed and, consequently, we reserve the right to reclaim any rooms that become vacant.
Article 3 – Consumer Code – right of withdrawal
A reservation made online, by telephone, and/or by mail is a distance purchase. This is a contract concluded remotely as defined by the French Consumer Code. We are subject to Articles L. 121-17 et seq. of the French Consumer Code. Please note that the right of withdrawal does not apply to accommodation services.
Article 4 – Cancellation of stay by the customer
Any changes are only possible after agreement from ""Maison Garesché"" and may result in additional costs. We inform you that in the event of cancellation of the reservation before the start of the stay, the customer will be due, as a penalty clause, compensation set as follows:
– if the cancellation occurs more than 8 weeks before the arrival date, the total amount of your reservation will be refunded in full.
– if the cancellation occurs between 2 weeks and less than 8 weeks before the arrival date, an amount of 50% of the amount paid for the reservation will remain with ""Maison Garesché"".
– if the cancellation occurs less than 2 weeks before the arrival date, the entire amount paid for your reservation will remain with ""Maison Garesché"" without the possibility of subsequent dispute on your part and we reserve the right to recover the room(s) that have become vacant again to re-let them.
In the event of delayed arrival and/or early departure during the stay, full payment for the reserved service is due regardless of the reason.
Article 5 – Cancellation insurance payable by the customer
Please note that cancellation insurance is not included in our rates. It is therefore strongly recommended that you purchase it.
Article 6 – Cancellation of stay by the owner
If, before the start of the stay, the owner is forced to cancel the reservation, he must immediately inform his client by any means. The client will then be immediately and fully reimbursed for any sums already paid.
Article 7 – Arrival time
Arrival is expected in the afternoon from 6 p.m., and possible until 8 p.m. In case of special or unforeseen requests, it will be necessary to contact us by telephone at 0033 (0)6 74 87 30 47 to notify us of any delay.
Article 8 – Departure time
Check-out time from rooms is 11:00 a.m. at the latest.
Article 9 – Payment of the balance of additional costs
We will ask you to cover any additional costs, including those relating to additional services taken on site (meals, activities, canoe and bicycle rentals, drinks, etc.) to be paid on site before your evening departure by credit card or in cash.
Article 10 – Change of rooms
Without the customer being able to claim any compensation, the owner reserves the right to change the room initially reserved by the customer to a room of the same or higher capacity. In such a case, the cost of the reservation remains unchanged.
Article 11 – Pets
Pets are not allowed at ""Maison Garesché"".
Article 12 – Art of living and use of premises
To ensure the tranquility and comfort of the guests of Maison Garesché, everyone is required to adhere to a certain "art de vivre." In particular, guests are asked not to smoke inside. The customer agrees to respect the etiquette instructions that will be given to him and these general conditions of sale.
The guest agrees to return the rooms in perfect condition and free of damage at the end of the stay and to systematically report – and assume financial responsibility for – any damage for which they are responsible. Repair costs, including the time required for the restoration, will be settled according to a separate invoice and on the basis of supporting documents for the costs incurred.
Please note that the kitchen in the guesthouse is not open to guests. No meals may be prepared or consumed in the kitchen or in the rooms.
Guests are advised that minors on the property are under the sole and complete responsibility of their parents or guardians. Children must always be accompanied by an adult in our house and/or on the outdoor grounds (courtyard, terrace, and garden).
Your stay at Maison Garesché and the use of our equipment and the places we offer is voluntary and at your own risk.
""Maison Garesché"" is not responsible for cases of loss, theft and/or damage or injury caused to property and/or people on the property, whatever the cause.
Article 13 – Modification of the conditions of sale
These conditions of sale are subject to change at any time and without notice. Acceptance and compliance with these conditions of sale are deemed acquired as soon as the deposit is paid.
Article 14 – Data Protection Act
In accordance with Law No. 78-17 of January 6, 1978, relating to information technology, files, and civil liberties, you have the right to access and rectify your personal data. We undertake not to share the information you provide to any other company or organization under any circumstances.
